American Football – Offered Bets

American football is a team sport played by two teams, each consisting of 11 players. The objective of the game is to score points by advancing the football into the opposing team’s end zone. The ball can be advanced by carrying, throwing, or passing it from one teammate to another. Points can be scored in various ways, including carrying the ball across the goal line, throwing the ball to another player across the goal line, or kicking it through the goalposts on the opposite side. The winner is the team with the highest number of points when the time expires.

The game is divided into 4 quarters, each lasting 15 minutes with a break after the second quarter. Each of these periods is called a quarter. In the event of a tie score in NFL games (National Football League), an additional 15-minute period (overtime) is allocated. In this case, the team that scores first wins the match. In a regular-season NFL game, if neither team scores in overtime, the game ends in a tie. In an NFL playoff game, additional overtime periods are played as needed to determine the winner.

General Terms

Touchdown is the way to score points when a player carries the ball into the opponent’s end zone. A touchdown is the highest-scoring method in American football, earning the team 6 points.

Field Goal is a successful kick of the ball by a kicker through the goalposts. A field goal earns three points for the team.

Safety is a relatively rare situation in American football. It occurs when the offense commits a penalty in their own end zone, fumbles the ball out of their own end zone, or is tackled in their own end zone. When a safety occurs, the opposing team is rewarded with two points. If a safety occurs, the offensive team is forced to punt the ball to the team that scored the safety from the 20-yard line.
